Occasionally, we prepare nut drinks, that have the perfectly smooth and velvety texture of a milkshake. In this one, we can feel both delicious tastes of hazelnut and cacao. It’s great that we don’t use any refined or brown sugar in our foods, so you can always get inspired and learn how to apply other sweetening options.
Drink this milkshake as a meal or just to comfort you on a cold winter day. You may even wish to heat it a bit; only make sure you don’t actually cook it, because that process would destroy most of the great nutrients of the ingredients and could make significative harmful changes on the natural hazelnut oil.
2 handfuls of organic hazelnuts (soaked for 8 hours)
500ml of pure water
6 organic pitted dates
3 organic tbsp of organic cacao powder
a pinch of sea salt
some organic mint leaves
Blend the hazelnuts and the water. Then strain the mixture, removing the solid parts. Blend the hazelnut milk with the rest of the ingredients.
And voilà, you have a vegan and delicious “milkshake”!!!
Hazelnut Cacao Vegan “Milkshake”
- 2 handfuls hazelnuts
- 500 ml water
- 6 pitted dates
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 pinch sea salt
- mint leaves
Blend the hazelnuts with the water.
Then strain the mixture, removing the solid parts.
Blend the hazelnut milk with the rest of the ingredients.
