Preparing food from scratch really works for us. Getting in touch with nature as it is and then getting to know all the process of transforming what we call food can keep us humble and amazed towards life.
We use lots of herbs in our smoothies. Herbs like dandelion and milk thistle can have an important role, especially during detoxification. They seem to protect and strengthen the liver, besides other great benefits. We use a lot of these and the others we mention in this recipe. Making a powder out of them can be a great alternative to tea and it is perfect for smoothies, capsules or any meal you feel happy to add to.
Have in mind that for this preparation you really need a powerful blender. Ours is an Optimum 9400 and we love it. It blends everything, even stones, eh eh.

- Organic dry horsetail
- Organic dry st john’s wort
- Organic dry milk thistle
- Organic dry dandelion
- Organic dry sage
- Organic dry pau d’arco
- Organic dry nettle
Put equal herb quantities in the blender and grind it very well.
Then sift it. The fine powder that comes out of it is the herbal powder. You can use the other part as tea.
