Vasco likes these chips so much that he couldn’t wait to publish them 😉 After organizing all the details of the recipe, he asked me to write about it. So, here I am!
Dehydrator and Time
I know how frustrating it is to see such an appealing dish and then finding out that a dehydrator is required. You may not have one or you may not want to wait hours to eat it. Well, don’t let your frustration stop you from doing what you want. If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can buy a cheap one online or in any regular appliance store. From my experience, I can tell you, you won’t regret it! If you are in a hurry, wait till you feel more relaxed. Preparing food requires good energies and lots of love, which is only possible if you are heart centered. It will be worthwhile.
Now, the rest is up to Vasco. Enjoy this recipe!
Recipe
Ingredients
For these wonderful chips, you’ll need:
- 3 organic sweet potatoes
- a pinch of sea salt
- organic cayenne pepper
- organic turmeric powder
- organic fennel seeds
- organic herbs, such as sage
Preparation
You can cut the potatoes in thin slices with a vegetable peeler, or use a mandoline slicer and you’ll get thinner slices. We haven’t bought one yet, so we used the peeler. It takes a little more time in the dehydrator. Sprinkle them with the seasonings and mix it with your hands!
Depending on how thin the slices are and how crunchy you want them to be, dehydrate them for 3 up to 12h in a dehydrator at 115ºF.
Don’t they look amazing?
Feel free to tell us about your raw chips experience!
