Vegan Peanut Seitan Stroganoff

  • 4 chunks seitan
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • a pinch dry basil
  • few drops tamari
  • a pinch turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp peanut spread
  • fresh parsley, chopped
  • a pinch sea salt
  • pure water


  1. Cut the seitan in slices.

  2. In a plate, put the seitan, the garlic, the basil, the tamari, and the turmeric. Mix well the ingredients and leave it for 30 minutes, for a few hours or more. Keep it in the fridge while it’s marinating.

  3. In a wok, drop some water, some tamari (careful with this, make sure you don’t add too much if your peanut spread has already salt in it) and the seitan.

  4. Let it cook on low heat, for about 10-15 minutes, adding water every time it’s necessary.

  5. Mix the peanut spread with water, until you have a creamy texture. Add it into the seitan and mix well.

  6. Turn off the heat. Drop some fresh parsley. It’s ready to eat!!!
